Keypod - Miniature Car Key Safe

by Steve
Sunday, August 28, 2005

KeypodWhen people go surfing, they're faced with figuring out what to do with their car keys. I suppose everyone has a way of dealing with it, though it may be more difficult if you do nude surfing at nude beaches.

The "Keypod" is being marketed to surfers, and other "extreme sports" afficionados. It's a miniature safe that hangs from your car, most likely underneath the car where it's least visible. It can also hold money, credit cards, or a cell phone.

  • Just because there's nothing iPod-like about it doesn't mean there's nothing pod-like.

1: the vessel that contains the seeds of a plant (not the seeds themselves)

    It's a vessel that contains something -- so metaphorically it's a pod.

There's actually nothing pod-like about the iPod.

  • How is this different from any other key safe? Real estate agents have used these for years.

  • This is actually a useful product, I think. It would have helped me when I lost my keys in the woods when I went hunting.

  • I suppose you could use it at an all nude beach with the adornment of some strategically placed bod piercing.
