Anheuser-Busch, stepped into the booming market of caffeinated malt beverage drinks today with their nationwide rollout of "Tilt", a malt beverage featuring an assorted blend of caffeine, guarana, and ginseng.
The famous beer brewer bills their new beverage as a "5 p.m. after-work drink", offering a "bold berry-flavor", designed to help folks transition into the night life.
According to Anheuser-Busch...
Tilt is brewed with two-row malt, natural grains, hops, yeast and water and infused with raspberry flavor, caffeine, guarana and ginseng at Anheuser-Busch's Cartersville Brewery. It is fermented at cold temperatures and allowed to develop natural carbonation as it slowly matures.Tilt contains 6.6, 6, or 4 percent alcohol by volume based on state laws. It's rolling out on a state-by-state basis, with full distribution is expected by October.

After I drink a bunch of these, instead of passing out now i can stay awake because of the caffeine and lots of energy from ginseng so I can cause havoc to the neighborhood, kicking trash cans and punch the light out of everyone.

I wish they would say how much caffeine it has per can - for example, equilvalent to one cup of coffee, etc.

We have had both Molson Kick and Labatt Shok for awhile up here in Canada (caffeinated beer). 1 thrown in might be good for a bit of perk, but I wouldn't want to get drunk on them, somehow an energetic drunk, who doesn't feel drunk doesn't sound too good.
They both have around 54g of caffeine in them, I think that's pretty close to a cup of coffee.
Until they make one that tastes better than Sparks, I'm not impressed.

This Stuff is a lot better then Sparks. I had some recently and B-G Tampa and its really good. The difference between this and B^e is that it has no beer flavor to it what so ever, and just a small alcoholic aftertaste. I'd deffinetly give it a shot if you dont like beer or just looking for something to give you a buzz and not knock you out
This stuff is so addicting. If you like drinks that are so gross they are good, like myself, then you will most likely fall in love with Tilt. But truthfully, it doesnt even give you a caffeine high. I think the alcohol and caffeine even each other out...

This stuff is crazy. I mean good. quick to get alcohol into the bloodstream, and then BLASTS you with that I am awake and getting buzzed feeling. Better then BtotheE for sure and with a larger size and cheaper price.

I absolutely love TILT. My boyfriend and I consume a lot of alcohol on a regular basis and I can't get enough of it. It is just so expensive at $2.00 a can! There is a special right now though where it is .99 cents a can...you can bet your butt we are going to buy them out of the store. My nick name is TILT now becuase I love it so much. I never even realized it was a caffeine drink.

Don't like Beer, but told my husband if he would buy me some of this I would have a drink with him and his friends once is awhile. We joined the brewmaster's club and tried them. B to the E is good, but Tilt is better.

To answer some questions...TILT has 70 mg of caffeine per 16 oz. can along with a whopping 384 calories!!! But I like so many others LOVE the taste. And an inside tip from Anheuser-Busch is that there is another possibly Lime version due to roll out at the end of August called TILT GREEN with 8.8% alcohol!!! That's all I know for now.

I just bought a 4-pack from my local Safeway here in Hawaii, on sale at about $5.50. Drank the whole thing. The Tilt can is clearly labeled here as having 6.6% alcohol.
To me it tasted exactly like Red Bull. No beer taste at all. I'm 35 years old, and nowadays I get sleepy after a few brews. Tilt makes me drunk, but I don't fall asleep like I normally do. Somehow the can's design, along with the name TILT... just doesn't sound like it's going to last. I do think it's a good drink, though.
I've never had Sparks - will try that next. But I think Tilt is a cool drink.
At less than $2.00 for a pint can, I don't think it's expensive. Consider that a can of Red Bull or Full Throttle energy drink costs more.
I do think Tilt should be compared to energy drinks, and not beer.
Ironic that it's cheaper to get drunk on beer than it is to get pumped up on energy drinks!
just an FYI, i got the chance to try the 8.0% TIlt Green at the brewery in St Louis. That stuff is so good it's dangerous. Tastes just like lime koolade. They had the 8.8% orange stuff there too.. that's great as well. I'm hooked. Oh yah, i did notice an increase in the size of my manhood as well. Sparks has nothing on this stuff, Bud FTW!
Just got a four-pack for get this $1.65! No shizzle! $1.65! I think it's an introductory price. Have had other caffeinated malt beverages, but this is actually drinkable. It's more like a wine cooler type malt beverage with caffeine. For what it is, it's pretty good.

The 8.0% is available in lousianna, the flavor isnt horrable, you get used to it after the first one. It sells for around $1.30/16oz can. I'll buy it again...

Guys this energy drink contains the wonderful natural ingredient of ginseng. A couple things that ginseng's used for is increasing stamina & to treat impotence, lol!

Green Tilt is an ingenious beverage. It tastes like carbonated lemon-lime Gatorade and actually gets you buzzed because it has 8% which overrides the caffeine. Tilt is destined to become your best friend if you want to wake up, but can't afford a Jager bomb or Vodka Red Bull. You might even fall in love... Anheuser Busch has done it again. I destroyed myself skateboarding today, but Tilt is making it better.
This Tilt stuff makes my tongue orange and my stomach hurt. If you're a dude and can't drink a normal beer, chop off your pecker, put it in your butt, and cut yourself a fake vagina. Beeotch.

I tasted it at St.Luis and I liked it better than any other beer.I have asked for this beer at Chicago but no store is stocking this beer.

Well, i'll tell you this...In Tennessee you can not buy anything with more than 6% alcohol in a gas station or grocery store. Most beers don't have 6%, so you can decide from there based on which variant of the drink she is drinking

I abso\lute\ly adore them...1-4 a day :-). but serious\ly be carefu\l...if you drink them on a regular basis for a while, then stop for a few days you start to feel like shit...on that note the green ones are awesome (8.8%) besides the green poop and jaw clenching sometimes.
The green tilt is the shit, 2 of them and it will be lights out for you. Try the green tilt with vodka or rum. its called a "Superbad". Make two of these and you will know why.

Was just introduced to Tilt 3 weeks ago by the Devil himself! It's the only thing I wanna drink when it's go time...ok, everyday. Tilt over ice is the BEST! Give it try.

yeh i have had the orange before and its pretty good.. i am a fan of both sparks and tilts. i drink eight to ten every weekend night. i live in Southaven, Mississippi. 5 minutes from memphis, Tennessee and i cant find the lime green ones anywhere? does anyone know where i could find these down here in the south?

I live in SW Denver nd you can find green blue red and purple For 1.89 for a 22oz can. Try the small Liquor stores. I went to tipsys and they have every thing under the sun but not this. then I went to some Arab Liquor store and they have every color.The Liquor store at quincy and 470 Has all 4 1.89 each

My husband and I love these. perfect for when you want to get drunk! we've had some company over that doesnt like the taste, but i think it is worth it, cause about half way through a 24oz i dont care what it tastes like anyways. lol. 1 is usually good for me. depends how fast i drink it. in West Virginia i've only seen the 12%. awesome product, great for college students. one for each person at the party and ur good. ppl jus bring any extra beer they might need. <3
