If you need high speed internet access inside your car, then give the WavBoard a try.
The new product from OmniWav Mobile is a router that can hide in your trunk or glove compartment. Passengers with a laptop or handheld with Wi-Fi or Ethernet capability can connect just like they do at home.
The router connects to the internet through high-speed cellular. Users can expect download speeds between 600-800 kbps, similar to a household DSL line. It can also be used on a boat, giving folks coverage up to 30 miles off-shore.
The WavBoard service is pretty much available in all of the major metropolitan areas in the USA. The company hopes to have nationwide coverage by 2006.
