FlavH20 Plastic Can

by Steve
Tuesday, November 22, 2005

PET/Aluminum CanNajaro Group sells its FlavH20 flavored water in a cool looking "Plastic Can". It's a plastic bottle that combines the top of an aluminum can.

This concept has been around for sometime, however. Package Design Magazine has an article that discusses the history of the PET/Aluminum can.

  • Surely the designers have got this the wrong way round? When I carry water (flavoured or not) with me on a journey, I like to be able to reseal the bottle and utilise the advantage of being able to refill it later. This can/bottle fails in both respects. So, its a design wonder because it uses less aluminium than a regular can? When they make a can with a screw cap, I'll be more impressed.

  • Why not do away with alluminium cans altogether as all they do after use is clutter up the streets and make the cities look untidy I think plastic bottles should be redisgned so that not only can one be used for cold drinks but also for hot drinks there is a product in the world that N.A.S.A has been using for years which is not only very cheap to make can also hold extreme tempretures..........

  • the design looks cool, but i would rather have them switch it around and have the plastic on top so i could reseal it. i would give this invention a low b

  • I don't know, but I friggin' love this drink, and I swear I am not shilling for it. I went to Reams and cleaned them out of it. Pineapple is the best.

I found this blog while looking for a place to buy it on-line.

  • I live in the Richmond Metro area in VA...and my local 7-11 sells the Green Apple and Cherry varieties. We just got them in here. So, you might want to try the local 7-11 or other convenience store in your area.

  • I just had this drink, I purchased it at 7-11 in Buena Park (Gilbert&Valencia I think)... I bought it because of the cool packaging and wow, its delicious too! I had the melon kiwi - its lightly carbonated and tastes like asian melon drink but crisper! I need to find out where I can buy a case of this stuff.

  • They surely have got this wrong. This is certainly one of the worst designs I have seen as a recycler. The company engineers think they are keeping the environment cleaner by putting the recycle logo on it, but they absolutely missed the most basic knowledge of recycling. Aluminium and Plastic are both recyclables when seperated, however, when put together they are contaminants for each other. The company has been quite successful in fooling the people about their "go green" efforts.

  • they already do make cans with screw top lids. lots of beverages have them, especially the ones u can find at asian supermarkets or famima.

  • I found this product at a Piggly Wiggly store in Memphis. The plastic can got my attention so I thought I would try it. I was thinking it was non carbonated and found out it was and the flavors are really intense. I love it! Great taste! this should be in more stores!

  • i love this water but i am paying to much for it in memphis i want to buy a case of each flavor ....... i pay 77 cents per can

this is a good substitute for cola which i use to drink but i would love to be able to hand out samples

cola has that coloring that hurts the kindeys i think every one should try this
