Gadget Grips

Gadget GripsGadget Grips are various sized pads that adhere to any electronic device, allowing you to lay it on a car dashboard without it sliding around or falling off.

Made by American Covers, Inc., it uses the company's patented polyurathene technology to create a non-adhesive, non-magnetic, sticky surface. It's vinyl-safe, temperature resistant and leaves no residue. You can pull it off, and stick it somewhere else, and it never loses its stickiness. You can even wash it.

$5.99 for a set of nine grips, from Handstands.

  • I use a similar, larger product from the same company. They are really handy, but the "never looses it's stickiness claim isn't true."

Pads on nightstands and desks last a good long time but their stickiness does ebb. In the car, they didn't last me long enough to be worthwhile. The manufacturer claims the pad can be washed to reinvigorate it's stickiness, but that didn't work for me.

Still, they are great overall. I was constantly knocking my PDA or my iPod onto the floor, or yanking on a cable with the same effect. Now I keep a couple of pads on my desk and one on my nightstand and my devices are much happier.

  • I have a friend who has been using a similar product as well, and loves it. We've gone 4 wheeling, and never lose anything.

    Just fabulous.
