Pepsi Cappuccino

by Steve
Friday, December 09, 2005

Pepsi CappuccinoA couple days ago we reported that Coca-Cola is coming out with a coffee-flavored version of Coke, called "Coca-Cola Blak".

Well apparently, it's already been done in Russia. Pepsi apparently came out with a cappuccino flavored cola, and is distributing it in Russa, Romania, and perhaps other parts.

Check it out. (Use Babel Fish Translator)

  • Here in Switzerland Migros (largest supermarket chain) sold Pepsi Cappuccino a few weeks ago as a market test.
It tastes intresting. It's not too far away from the original Pepsi but with a distinct coffee flavor. I liked it.
Well, actually I like almost anything tasting like coffee ;-)

  • Does pepsi have caffeine in, if so will this contain much more caffeine.
That can be bad for you, saying that I am drinking a coffee now to wake me up.

  • we've got the "localised" version quite close to half a year ago in Malaysia....

it's called Pepsi "Tarik", "Tarik" meaning pull in Bahasa Malaysia, named after our popular local tea, "teh tarik" or "pull tea" :)

  • I don't see why this is so strange. Coffee soda has been around for along time, and coffee/cola mixes are pretty popular in many coffee shops

  • Pepsi already tried this in the US several years ago. They test marketed "Pepsi Kona". Guess it didn't work then. See www.bevnet.com/reviews/pepsi-kona

  • In addition to Romania, I also saw heavy promotion in Bulgaria a couple weeks ago. My understanding is that it is a worldwide rollout. Pray for us! ;]

  • I am drinking Pepsi Max Cappucino right now. It comes in 1,5 litres and 0,5 litres. It came to the stores in December.
    I'm from Finland.

  • This soft drink has just been released here in Norway, but in a Pepsi Max version, so there is no sugar. It tastes...interesting.

  • Just tasted this thing yesterday. I didn't know whether to cry or simple spit it out.
Since I bought two bottles for the price of one (should have made me suspicious), I tried the second out with whiskey. Helped a lot ;)

  • I tried Coke Black just now. I think I like it. Bet it would make the best Coke float with coffee ice cream but it's expensive for the size and all. might review on my blog www.teleread.org/blind

  • I took two sips of it here in Ireland and I have to say it tastes absolutely disgusting. So bad that it's repeating on me. Never again ( one euro wasted )

  • I quite like it. Is it limited edition, though? Also, I found a site dedicated to the drink: The Pepsi Max Cappuccino Wire at http://www.freewebs.com/pepsicappuccino

  • I saw a bottle of this when I was just in Romania. I thought to myself "how gross," although I did not try it. I do not remember ever seeing it here in the US, as I do like Pepsi products (and I do like coffee). Since I have been back, I have wanted to see what I could find out -- thing on the shelves; but sites like these have answered my questions.

  • I just had a glass of Pepsi Max Cappuccino purchased from Auchan supermarket in Luxembourg. It tastes a bit like vanilla Coke and I do like it. Is it supposed to have more caffeine than normal Pepsi Max? It sure doesn't say so on the bottle.

  • Thats stupid they're coping off of coke blak. Like they alsways do. I like coke anyway.

  • pepsi should go die in a hole and make there own ideas and stop coping coke

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 10/11/2007 12:42:00 PM

  • I don't see why everyone is getting mad at Pepsi for copying off Coke. That's what this industry is. Everyone copies off everyone, get over it ok? :]

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 3/10/2008 09:56:00 AM

  • Pepsi Kona was a coffee flavored Pepsi that came out in 1996, in the U.S. Coke Blak didn't come out until 2006. A Decade Later!! So who copied who????

  • As usual is almost impossible to find products like these in Italy. We are
too much in love with our classic cappuccino and espresso!
There is just a chain that serves something alike: I might be called
    Chiaroscuro.
