Sometimes it takes several decades to come up with a simple solution. Hell, sometimes it takes an eleven year old girl to find the solution.
The Crayon Holder is a hard plastic tube just wide enough to fit a crayon into. It allows you to insert those broken crayons and actually still use them.
I remember having to tape up my pieces when they broke, and even then, the whole thing would still flex and become difficult to use.
This idea was conceived by eleven year old Cassidy, who ended up winning the "Youth Inventor of the Year" title by the Intellectual Property Owners Education Foundation.

you can also use crayola's crayon maker, shich melts used crayons and lets you re-mold them.
ah bah, just keep using tape.
it's cheaper that way.

That product makes me sick - you can do the same thing on your stove without buying a plastic piece of crap to do it for you.
I love to do coloring books with the kids in my life and this product is long overdue. As long as it doesn't cost more than buying a new box of crayons, I'm all for it!
what is new about that? crayon holders existed for at least 20 years already ...
good job my kids will love them . this idea will go far .
